CATARINA GUEDES
I've been a physiotherapist for 19 years, I'm the mother of 4 children and I'm extremely lucky to love what I do. I found my vocation in physiotherapy by working with a leading medical team in neurology and musculoskeletal injuries. As a complement, I invested in manual therapy training in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao, thus expanding my technical skills.
On my return, I was faced with a clinical reality in physiotherapy that I didn't see myself in, which made me rethink my purpose in the profession.
I'm one of those who believes in the potential of each person I meet and their opportunities. I am committed to the care and responsibility that being a health professional entails. For this reason, I have replicated the concept of physiotherapy that I was lucky enough to learn about: a patient-centered approach, dedicating the necessary time to each case, adapting the sessions to the pathologies and providing the support that each patient needs when they find themselves in vulnerable situations. Continuous training has made me evolve!
And that's how it's been... over the last 15 years, the concept has remained the same and I'm proud to say that we are a team of physiotherapists, each with their own specificities but who, in their own way, are committed to making a difference every day.
Thank you to all the patients who got us here. It's been quite a journey!!

Maria Lagos
I've been a physiotherapist since 2015 and although I've worked in different sectors, musculoskeletal, neurological and mental health are currently my main focus and interest.
I have found inspiration in the mission of caring and delivering more daily, through proximity. And I love growing and getting to know myself as a professional.
I've had the opportunity to see and experience the world from a unique perspective. Having been a girl’s scout, volunteering and going on retreats, doubting my vocation and returning with the confirmation of love for my profession. I bring with me a true and joyful way of connecting with others.
I enjoy quality time with my loved ones and it's in this simplicity that I am the happiest.

Martim Faustino
I'm a physiotherapist with a postgraduate degree in Strength and Conditioning from the FMH.
I split my time between work and athletics, since I'm in high competition. I'm a 110 and 400 meter hurdler.
My work has been divided between clinical practice in the neuro-musculo-skeletal area and sports, accompanying athletes in various sports such as athletics, tennis, gymnastics and futsal.
What inspires me most in my work is being able to help people have confidence in their bodies to do what is most important to them in their daily lives.
Something that makes me unique and different in my work is my experience as an athlete and how I have often been in each patient's shoes. Understanding that perspective well has allowed me to find the tools to share the best way to perceive, manage and take control of their pain or injury.

Mafalda Fragoso
I've been a physiotherapist since 2006, married and the mother of 4 children. Apart from my family, my vocation lies in the field of health. Seeing people have a better quality of life and return to their activities is a great daily motivation.
I specialize in the musculoskeletal area, with a strong focus on the shoulder, and I use manual therapy, clinical pilates and therapeutic exercise a lot in my clinical practice. I also teach group clinical pilates classes.
Although I appear to be a calm person, I always like to be on the move!
I feel privileged for the family and friends I have and for being able to work with a spectacular team five minutes from the sea, which I love so much.

Francisca Paiva
Hi, I'm Francisca and I'm a physiotherapist. I graduated from the Escola Superior de Saúde do Alcoitão and completed my degree at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where I took a Minor in Sports Physiotherapy.
I've worked in different contexts, from intensive care in the cardio-respiratory area to the rehabilitation of high-performance athletes, but my area of interest is musculoskeletal.
I've always been fascinated by the relationship between mind and body and I believe that physiotherapy enhances the function of both, from prevention to injury rehabilitation. This is what motivates me and makes me want to be better every day.
When I'm not working, I'm most likely on the beach bodyboarding or running. Working here brings together what I love most, being a physiotherapist, just a stone’s throw away from the beach. Could you ask for more?

Ana Rita Cruz
I'm a physiotherapist by vocation with 20 years' experience in the cardiorespiratory field. At the moment, I divide my time between the hospital - cardiac intensive care unit and cardiology, private practice and teaching.
I've also done voluntary work in Portugal and abroad.
I believe that in physiotherapy, empathy and techniques based on the best scientific evidence are the essential pillars for excellent treatment.
I leave a little bit of myself in each person who passes through my life, through the empathetic way I approach my profession.
I love nature and traveling. Food, music and movies are my addition and therapy!

What PEOPLE say about us
"I'd like to thank the Catarina Guedes Fisioterapia team for all their support, dedication and friendliness during my recovery from a serious knee injury, where I underwent surgery after an accident in the snow. Thanks to this wonderful team, and after some very difficult times, I'm back to playing tennis every day! Thank you Catarina, to you and your team!!!!"
João Brito e Cunha
"After a trip from Africa, I arrived in Lisbon feeling quite unwell. I'd caught malaria. My condition worsened and I spent a month in intensive care, initially in a coma and on a ventilator. I went home very weak and in need of oxygen 24 hours a day. I didn't even have the strength to get out of bed. I started physiotherapy at home with this team and over time I was weaned off the oxygen, gaining strength and getting better every day. Now I'm back in Angola where I live and do professional sailing!!!! Thank you for everything!!!!"
Helder Rodrigues
"After years of suffering serious neck and lower back problems, the care and treatment provided to me by Catarina Guedes have considerably diminished these pains and I am hopeful that my quality of life will continue to improve thanks to her expertise and dedication. I could not recommend with more pleasure a nicer and a more highly efficient medical professional."
Jean-Charles de Ravenel
"Top service!!!! From day one I was welcomed with great friendliness and care! I underwent respiratory physiotherapy for a pneumothorax after a complicated hospitalization. Later, I returned to physiotherapy for my shoulder due to a ruptured rotator cuff. Although for very different reasons, I was accompanied by the specific therapists for each situation, and I was back to 100% both times. Thank you to this excellent team for your care and professionalism!!!!"
